Mission of CP Matchmaker

This site is to match writers with Critique Partners.

This site came about because I've talked with so many beginning and intermediate writers who don't have another writer they trust or have confidence in to send their work to be critiqued.

My hope is this will bring together writers who form bonds and help each other with their writing. If it hadn't been for the guidance and generosity of a judge in a contest who took me on as a critique partner, I would still be floundering with my writing.

Family and friends are good readers to give you encouragement, but when you have another career focused writer critique your work, it's when your writing blossoms.

Guidelines

Three Writers will be put together as an online critique group using the CP Matchmaker form.

The group will abide by the Critique Instructions.

If you decide to send a certain amount of work at a set interval all three members must abide by the decision.

If a group doesn't work for you, you may ask for a new grouping after three months. As with all relationships, give the grouping a chance to get to know one another and their writing before you decide to leave a group.

Remember you are giving feedback via writing and sometimes it can come off harsher than it is meant. Be willing to talk out anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.

This is a critique group- You need only take the suggestions given and use them as you see fit.
